Thanks all of you for the interest in this deck. Here's what I know about it...
This was a "tarot" deck expressly printed for the1998 Oscar nominated movie Elizabeth, starring Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth I, Geoffrey Rush as Sir Francis Walsingham, and Joe Fiennes as her alleged lover Robert Dudley. Very few were made, though I do not have the exact number. These were given as promotional items to cinematic taste makers...I'm thinking the idea of a tarot deck was to maximize Bess' mystique. I won this on eBay, after a pretty heated bidding war (ah! the salad days of eBay!). I am not going to vouch for any divinatory possibilities, but who knows, if you try sometime, you just might find you get what you need. Thanks, Mick. Please don't tell me, "it's NOT tarot if it's not 78 cards". Yawn, I know. Don't be a Captain Bringdown.
4" wide and just a little over 7" tall, these 18 cards each depict a scene or character from the movie. Computer manipulation has created images that look both photographed as well as water colored. Printed on card stock a little heavier than an index card. The back contains historical as well as theatrical information about the respective front photo of the card. The housing "box" is made of heavier card stock to look like a parchment scroll, with faux wax insignia and ribbon.
I cannot find any more information about this deck. It is beyond collectible for anglophiles, tarot collectors, movie memorabilia buffs, Rennies, and people who like stuff that few others have! In fact, I have not seen any listed since around 1998. If ANYONE has any more information, I'd be grateful for it.

Hi, Do you still have Arcus Arcanum Tarot Hansrudi Wascher & Gunter Hager and if so, what language is it in? Does it come with the booklet? How much are you looking for? Let me know... Thanks!
